atmosphere and space. Burva Loca is the world just above Earth between Earth and the higher heavens. According to
Bhagwata Purana 3.2.12, this loca is full of subtle energy
called prana which supports all life on Earth. Many spirits who are waiting to take birth again exist here. Some Devas, that are celestial beings, also travel
through this region. It is like a bridge between earth and the higher locas. Scriptures describe it as a space of light, movement and energy. Interestingly, modern science also finds
space full of invisible energy, radiation and movement showing an amazing similarity with Bhuva loca. For number three, Swarga, heaven. Swwarga is the heaven above earth ruled by Indra, the king of Devas. According to Rig Vida and Bhagwat Purana 11.24.11, Souls reach this world by doing good karma on earth. Here they enjoy happiness, beauty, music and comfort.

But swarga is temporary. Once the Soul´s punyas, that is merit, ends, it returns to earth. This teaches us that temporary pleasures cannot give permanent peace. For number four, Maharloa, home of great Rishis. Maharloka is a higher world where the Sapta Rishis and Great Sages like Brigu live.
According to Vishnu Purana 2.7 and Bhagavatap Purana 2.2.26, time here moves much slower than on earth. The purana explains that one day of Brahma is equal to thousands of years
in Maharloka. It is a peaceful world free from suffering where advanced souls spend their time in meditation, study and spiritual knowledge. People in Maharloka
are highly enlightened and do not have worldly desires. This loka is an example of how higher spiritual levels give long
lasting peace and wisdom. For number five, Jana loka, world of enlightened beings. Jana loka is a higher world above Maharloka.
According to Bhagavatapurana 2.2.27, it is home to advanced souls who have almost no worldly desires. These beings
have subtle light bodies instead of heavy physical forms. They live in a state of happiness, peace and spiritual
knowledge. Janaloka is quiet and full of positive energy where residents focus on meditation and understanding the

they choose to. Life here is peaceful, eternal and very close to moksha, liberation from birth and death. Sathyaloka represents the ultimate spiritual level showing that with complete truth, knowledge and devotion a Soul can achieve the highest state of existence.
Lower lokas, below earth. Lower lokas are worlds below earth. According to bhagat purana 5.24, they are not hells but different realms where beings live with
unique experiences and Powers. For number eight, Atalaloka. Atalaloka is a lower world ruled by Bali, the son of
the architect Maya. According to Bhagwat Purana 5.24, 24. This realm is inhabited by powerful beings who possess unique
magical abilities. These beings are neither good nor bad. They simply exist in a way that’s very different from humans. Atala loka showcases a diverse range of existence and highlights the

Jahrhundert von den damals dort herrschenden Khmer errichtet. Insbesondere während der Herrschaft von König Suryavarman II. wurden hier wesentliche Erweiterungen durchgeführt. Wie bei anderen Tempeln auf Bergspitzen (zum Beispiel Prasat Preah Vihear und Phnom Chisor) wurde auch hier die Architektur an die natürlichen Gegebenheiten angepasst. Eine lange Treppe führt hinauf zum wichtigsten Bezirk. Der eigentliche Tempel wird durch einen 160 Meter langen erhöhten Fußweg erreicht, der von Säulen flankiert ist und auf die Naga-Brücke zuführt. Die Brücke symbolisiert den Übergang aus der profanen in die geheiligte Welt. Eine weitere Treppe führt zu einem Bereich mit vier Bassins, an denen vorbei man über eine zweite Brücke in den eigentlichen Tempel gelangt.

Phanom Rung ist bekannt für die sorgfältig ausgeführten Steinmetzarbeiten, die zum Beispiel einen Kriegselefanten zeigen, der einen Feind niedertrampelt. Dies mag eines der ersten historischen Kunstwerke aus der Angkor-Zeit sein. Die meisten anderen Darstellungen verehren Shiva und die Askese. Die elf Inschriften von Phanom Rung sind besonders interessant, da sie eine Darstellung der regionalen Organisation von Angkor enthalten.

Über eine – heute durch den Dschungel führende – Straße war dieser Tempel mit der Tempelstadt Angkor-Wat im heutigen Kambodscha und dem Prasat Hin Phimai (in Thailand) verbunden.“

Fun fact: Nagas aren´t just a Myth, in India they are basically scattered, all over east asia as well. Some countries even have 2 or more Nagas, they have different personalities and abilities, even one of the Dragon Lords of China and Japan is actually a Naga, not a Dragon.

In the vast ocean of time, Hindu cosmology describes creation not as a linear march, but a wheel,

an eternal cycle called the Chatur Yuga, the four Yugas that endlessly rise and fall like breath itself.

At the crest of this wheel lies the first and most sacred age, the Satya Yuga

also known as Krita Yuga, the Age of Truth, the Golden Age.

As per the Vishnu Purana and Bhagavata Purana,

Satya Yuga spans a staggering 17 lakh 28 thousand human years.

It is the longest, brightest and most spiritually elevated of all Yugas.

In this era, Dharma, the cosmic principle of righteousness, stands firmly on all four legs.

Like a mighty bull, unshaken, there is no deceit, no suffering, no lies.

Mankind lives in harmony with the earth and the divine.

It is said in the Padma Purana, all people in Satya Yuga are by nature wise

, virtuous and devoted to the Supreme Being.

To remember Satya Yuga is to remember our original purity, our forgotten light.

Let us journey back to the first morning of time.

Imagine a world where every human was radiant like a God,

where people lived not for decades, but for millennia.

In Satya Yuga, humans were towering, luminous being beings born in harmony with the cosmos.

According to the Markandeya Purana, people stood at an astonishing height of 21 cubits.

That’s nearly 30ft tall, with powerful bodies and serene minds.

Their lifespans stretched up to 100,000 years.

As revealed in the Vishnu Purana.

There was no disease, no hunger, no poverty.

The body was a temple uncorrupted by impurity.

The soul was clear, like a still lake under moonlight.

And there was no caste, no class, only character.

Everyone was a Brahmana, not by birth, but by behavior, by virtue, wisdom, and tapasya.

Men and women spent their lives in deep meditation, yoga and satsang, discussions of eternal truth.

The mind had no distractions, the heart no desires.

And the most wondrous part, humans were not alone.

The veil between realms was thin.

Communication with gods, rishis, and celestial beings was natural, not mystical.

The Sanat Kumaras, the rishis of light, walked among them, guiding humanity towards self realization.

This was not just life, it was divine existence.

Humans in Satya Yuga were more than mortals.

They were conscious sparks of the infinite, glowing in harmony with all creation.

In today’s world, we build towering temples, chant a thousand mantras, and study thick scriptures in search of God.

But long ago, in the first age of creation, Satya Yuga, God lived not in temple, but in the hearts of people.

In that age, the Vishnu Purana says, truth alone prevailed.

All beings were devoted to the Supreme Spirit.

No one practiced deceit.

There was no idol worship, no need for rituals, no elaborate offerings or ceremonies.

Because people did not seek God, they were already one with God.

Temples had not yet been built because every human body was a temple.

Every breath was a prayer, every action sacred.

The Vedas, those timeless scriptures, weren’t studied in books or chanted from scrolls.

They were alive within the hearts of all beings.

The Bhagavata Purana reveals in Satya Yuga, people were born with direct knowledge of Dharma.

The Vedas were inherent in their consciousness.

Dharma walked on four legs, full and steady.

People lived with truthfulness, Satya, compassion, Daya, austerity and purity.

Their entire life was worship.

They didn’t call out to the divine because the divine had never left.

There was no separation.

The Mahabharata (Shanti Parva) describes this age, saying in Krita Yuga, there was no sorrow, no need for penance.

Righteousness stood firm in all hearts.

People saw truth as God and God as truth.

Long before cities, before machines, before smoke and noise,

there was an age when earth itself was divine, a time when nature didn’t just live.

She blessed.

Welcome to Satya Yuga, the golden age of harmony.

In Satya Yuga, the earth was a living goddess, vibrant and conscious, and she gave without asking.

According to the Linga Purana, trees bore fruit perpetually.

Blossoms bloomed in every season, and rivers flowed not with water but with nectar.

There were no farmers, yet fields yielded grain endlessly.

No one plowed, no one irrigated.

The land knew what was needed and gave it freely.

Crops grew on their own and cows gave milk abundantly, nourishing every being as described in the Vishnu Purana.

The climate always pleasant.

No scorching summers, no biting winters.

The wind carried the scent of flowers.

Even time moved gently.

There was no decay, no pollution, no rot.

The earth had not yet known the footprint of greed.

She was still sacred, untouched.

And what of the animals?

They too were free of fear.

Lions sat with deer, snakes coiled in peace beside birds.

In Satya Yuga, violence did not exist.

Not in the forest, not in the hearts of men, not in the sky.

The harmony was complete.

Every tree, river, bird, beast, cloud and man all were threads in the same divine fabric.

There was no separation between nature and humans because humans were nature, not its masters.

In Satya Yuga, the earth was not merely a home for mortals.

It was a sacred playground where gods, sages and divine avatars walked among us.

It was a time when rishis, siddhas and devas were not tales from myth.

They were present, seen, heard and revered.

The air shimmered with tapasya, the ground echoed with mantras.

And in every forest, cave and mountain dwelt the immortal sages, the Maharishis of cosmic memory.

Marichi, Etri, Angiras.

bhrigu, Vasishta.

These weren’t just seers.

They were the torchbearers of divine knowledge, guiding humanity through truth and discipline.

The Bhagavata Purana and Vishnu Purana sing of their presence,

how these sages radiated wisdom and carried forward the eternal flame of Dharma.

But even among the divine, there were higher revelations.

When the world needed guidance, Lord Vishnu took form in the earliest dawn of Satya Yuga.

He appeared as the Hamsa avatar, the celestial swan who whispered eternal truths to Brahma and the sages.

Hamsa, the symbol of discrimination, of knowing truth from illusion, taught the

highest knowledge and Viveka, discernment to the minds still fresh from creation.

And from the mind of Brahma came the Sanat Kumaras,

Sanaka, Sanatana, Sanandana and Sanat Kumara, four eternally youthful sages who who refused worldly life,

choosing instead to live in eternal contemplation of the supreme.

These childlike sages traveled across the cosmos, teaching the oneness of Atman and Brahman.

Unshaken by time.

In the luminous age of Satya Yuga, society was not bound by bricks, borders, or battles.

There were no kings or armies, no politics or possessions.

As stated in the Vishnu Purana and echoed in the Padma Purana,

there was no need for rulers, for every soul ruled their own senses.

The earth was dotted not by cities but by hermitages, ashrams, and forest groves.

People lived close to nature and even closer to Brahman, the supreme consciousness.

Life was a spiritual journey, not a material race.

And yet they were rich.

Not in gold, but in wisdom, not in things, but in peace.

There was no trade, no currency.

As said in the Markandeya Purana, each took only what was needed, nothing more, nothing less.

Property ownership.

These were alien words, because in Satya Yuga nothing was owned and yet nothing was lacking.

There were no class divisions, no caste conflicts.

No rich or poor, as described in the Mahabharata Shanti Parva.

In the beginning of time, all men were equal.

All were Brahmanas, bound by Dharma and compassion.

This was not just society.

It was a reflection of heaven on earth, a global ashram where every soul walked the path of truth.

Even golden ages must one day dim.

Even the brightest light casts a shadow when ego begins to whisper.

According to the Vishnu Purana.

As Satya Yuga progressed, the pure minds of humanity began to change.

Little by little, seeds of ego were sown.

Desire began to take form.

People no longer meditated to realize the self, but to gain power.

Dharma, once standing firm on four legs, began to tremble as one leg weakened.

The leg of Tapasya Truth, the very breath of Satya Yuga now shared space with half truths and

personal pride, even among the virtuous, the sense of I began to rise, the Padma Purana tells us.

As Satya Yuga ends, people lose touch with Brahman.

They begin to distinguish mine and yours.

Evil in Satya Yuga is not widespread or systemic like in later Yugas.

It appears as exceptions, often as cosmic balance mechanisms, and is swiftly corrected by divine forces.

Oh Brahmins, there was a certain sage named Sveta in the cave of a mountain.
His span of life was nearing its end. Hence he worshiped the great Lord with devotion.
He repeated the mantras of the holy hymn Rudradya, beginning with namaste.
Then the god of death thought that the time of death had arrived for the Brahmin, Sage Sveta.
Thinking of taking him away, he approached the sage Sveta saw Kala and though the
time of his death was imminent, he meditated upon the three-eyed lord Rudra and worshiped
him. Sveta said: „I worship the three-eyed lord of great fragrance who increases
prosperity, what can god of death do to me?“
Looking at Sveta, the god of death, terrifying to the worlds, said smilingly:
„Come, oh Sveta, what fruit do you gain by this means?“
O Brahmin, who can save one who is caught in my clutches, even if he be Rudra or Viznu or Brahma or Brahman,
how does this procedure pertaining to Rudra affect me. I am bent upon taking you to my world O sage, since your span of life has come to an end. On hearing these terrible words Sage Sveta cried out: Rudra, Rudra, Rudra.
Glancing at Kalasvita spoke with eyes full of tears, Oh Kala, what can be done by you if my Lord Rudra, the source of origin of all Devas is present in this Linga, oh Lord of great arms of what avail is this
behest of yours to persons like me who are extremely devoted to Rudra. I ask you to go away the way you have
come. On hearing this Kala of sharp fangs and terrible to look at became infuriated.
The terrible god with the noose in his hands roared like a lion and clapped his hands again and again. He
then bound the sage whose time of death had arrived and addressed him thus: Oh Brahmin sage
Sveta you have been bound by me for being taken to my abode. What has been done now by your Rudra, the lord of
devas, where is Rudra and where is your devotion, where is your worship and where the fruit thereof where am I and whence have I to fear oh Sveta you have been bound by me. O Sveta is your Rudra stationed in this Linga, if so he is utterly inactive. How can he be worshipped then? Rudra, the destroyer of Karma and sacrifice the three-eyed lord
came hurriedly with a laugh accompanied by Uma, Nandin and the leading Ghanas, in order to slay Yama who had come to kill the Brahmin… then on seeing Rudra, the mighty Yama abandoned the Brahmin out of fear and fell down near
the sage. On looking at Lord Rudra, the destroyer of death as also at Yama, who fell instantaneously at the sight of the Lord. Sveta roared loudly. The gods too cried loudly and bowed to the Lord as well as Uma, The sages were delighted much. Over the heads of the sage and Rudra the skyroving gods showered cool and
splendid flowers from the firmament.
On seeing Yama dead, Nandin bowed to Lord Rudra. He the leader of the Ghanas and the follower of Lord Rudra spoke to the Lord in great astonishment. This Yama of purile intelligence is dead. Now be favorable to the sage. On seeing Yama destroyed in a trice, the Lord blessed the excellent Brahmin and disappeared. Hence O Brahmins one should devoutly worship the Lord, the conqueror of the god of death. He is the bestower of liberation as well as of worldly pleasures. He is the benefactor of all. After renouncing and worshiping Rudra with great devotion you will all become free from grief. Listening to the story, Nandin asked Lord Brahma: „Oh Lord, be pleased. By
what penance or sacrifice or holy rights can devotion to Rudra the pinaka bearing lord be acquired? How will the twiceborn become the devotee of Rudra? Lord Brahma replied: „Neither by charitable gifts, nor by learning.. one
can only acquire Lord Shiva by true devotion.“

She is thus moving, and continues even after creation to move in the Tattvas so created. For, as they are born of movement, they continue to move. The whole world (Jagat), as the Sanskrit term implies, is moving. She thus continues creatively acting until She has evolved Prithvi, the last of the Tattvas. First She creates mind, and then matter. Shakti, and Kundalini Shakti. The difference between the two is
that they are Shaktis in specific differentiated forms in movement; and Kundalini Shakti is undifferentiated, residual Shakti at rest, that is, coiled. She is coiled in the Muladhara, which means ‘fundamental support’, and which is at the same time the seat of the Prithvi or last solid Tattva and of the residual Shakti or Kundalini. The body may, therefore, be compared to a magnet with two poles. Thus, when completely dynamic,that is when Kundalini unites with Siva in the Sahasrara, the polarisation of the body gives way. The two poles are united in one and there is the state of consciousness called Samadhi. The polarisation,of course, takes place in consciousness. The body actually continues to exist as an object of observation to others. It continues its organic life. Such a beautifully explained story of Lord Krishna’s final moments. It’s amazing how everything, from Gandhari’s curse to the Yadavas’ downfall, was connected and led to the prophecy coming true. It was really very emotional, and my eyes filled with tears while watching this. The way Krishna accepted his fate with calmness and wisdom teaches us so much about detachment and the inevitability of time. Truly, the end of an era! Thank you for sharing this heartfelt tale.
