@mrscott01 yes brucelee’s death has many conspiracy theories behind it.. So saying this is the definite cause will turn a lot of heads and he needs to give more explanations. So he said it as a probable cause and not the definitive cause…

@Krishna sadhguru did not say it is a probable cause. He said if he hadn’t died the way he did, then sometime later it would have been due to manipura chakra.
What I don’t get is the need of even thinking of theories for his death. It was clearly stated cerebral edema (swelling of brain). He removed his sweat glands as it was taken as vile in cinema when actors had sweat circles down their armpits. As a result his brain was unable to remove excess heat and he died from that.

„Es ist schon einmal so in der Geisteswissenschaft: Man kann nicht klipp und klar auf manche Fragen antworten, weil unsere Zeitgenossenschaft noch nicht so weit ist, die Wahrheiten im richtigen Stile aufzunehmen. Man muss manches andeuten. Wenn Sie nachlesen in den Vorträgen, die nicht lange vor dem Ausbruch dieser furchtbaren Weltkatastrophe in Wien gehalten worden sind, so werden Sie dort die Stelle finden von dem sozialen Karzinom,
von der sozialen Krebskrankheit, welche an der Menschheitsentwickelung frisst. Angedeutet werden sollte durch solche und viele ähnliche Dinge, was der Menschheitsentwickelung bevorsteht, und aufgefordert werden sollte durch solche Dinge zum Nachdenken. Sinneswelt vorhanden, das heißt denn doch in einem höheren Sinne schlafen. Vollständig wach ist die Menschheit nur dann, wenn sie auch Begriffe, Ideen entwickeln kann von jener geistigen Welt, die ja ebenso um uns herum ist wie Luft und Wasser, wie die Sterne, wie
die Sonne und der Mond. Und so wie man schläft, wenn man nur ganz hingegeben ist dem inneren Leibesprozess in der Nacht und keine Ahnung hat von dem, was ringsherum in der äußeren körperlichen Welt vorhanden ist, so schläft man auch, wenn man nur der äußeren Sinneswelt hingegeben ist und der Verstandeswelt und den Verstandesgesetzen, die in der äußeren Sinneswelt walten, und keine Ahnung hat von dem, was um einen herum ist als
geistige Welt.
Es ist merkwürdig, dass gerade in den letzten Jahrhunderten – und am ärgsten um die Wende des 19. zum 20. Jahrhundert – die Menschheit auf ihren geistigen Fortschritt, auf ihre wissenschaftlichen Errungenschaften so sehr pochte und dass im Grunde genommen niemals das unbewusste, instinktive Leben so ausgebreitet war wie in dieser Zeit, dass immer mehr und mehr gegen die Gegenwart herauf das instinktiv Unbewusste die Menschen ergriffen hat. Das Nicht-Sehen dessen, was geistig um uns herum ist, das Nicht-Rechnen mit diesem Geistigen, das ist ja im letzten Grunde die Ursache dieses furchtbaren Weltenkampfes. Und man kann nicht sagen, dass die Menschheit durch die Jahre, die sich, wie ich angedeutet habe, wie Jahrhunderte verlängern für den, der sie wachend durchlebt, man kann nicht sagen, dass die Menschheit schon hinreichend viel gelernt hat von dem, was in so furchtbarer Weise sich abgespielt hat. Man könnte leider sogar das Gegenteil davon sagen.
Was ist denn das eigentlich Charakteristische, das einem jetzt täglich, stündlich auffallen kann, wenn man verfolgt, was heute Menschen denken – besser gesagt, vorgeben zu denken, vorgeben zu wollen -, was ist denn das eigentlich Charakteristische? Das eigentlich Charakteristische ist, dass im Grunde genommen über die Welt hin niemand weiß, was er will, dass niemand darauf kommt, dass dasjenige, was man berechtigterweise wollen
könnte – gleichgültig, wie es sich in den einzelnen Köpfen der einzelnen Völker ausmalt -, viel besser erreicht würde, wenn man die furchtbaren, blutigen Ereignisse wegließe, dass diese furchtbaren, blutigen Ereignisse sich abspielen und dass sie eigentlich unnötig
sind, unnötig sind zu dem, was gewollt wird.
Allerdings, es walten in diesen Ereignissen geheimnisvolle Zusammenhänge. Aber wenn Sie manches nehmen, was, allerdings auch nur andeutungsweise, im Laufe der Jahre gerade in unseren geisteswissenschaftlichen Vorträgen gesagt worden ist, so werden Sie doch finden,
dass auch in Bezug auf dasjenige, das sich als Allerbedeutungsvollstes hereingestellt hat in die Ereignisse der letzten Jahre, manches recht klar angedeutet worden ist. Wenn Sie nur nehmen, was auch innerhalb dieser Räume, namentlich in den letzten Jahren, entwickelt
worden ist über den Charakter des russischen Volkes und über den Gegensatz dieses russischen Volkes zu den west- und mitteleuropäischen Völkern, dann werden Sie daraufkommen, dass Sie nichts anderes brauchen, als was hier gesagt worden ist, zum
Verständnisse desjenigen Ereignisses, das scheinbar so stürmisch in der letzten Zeit eingeschlagen hat, zum Verständnisse dessen, was man gewöhnlich die Russische Revolution jetzt nennt, dieses Ereignisses, das hereingebrochen ist wie eine Vergeltung, aber eine
innerlich durchaus absolut verständliche karmische Vergeltung, wobei man dieses Wort als Terminus technicus und gar nicht im moralischen Sinne zu nehmen hat. Es wird nicht nur die russische, es wird die europäische, wird die Menschheit der ganzen Welt lange, lange nachzudenken haben über die Ereignisse, die sich im Osten Europas viel geheimnisvoller jetzt abspielen, als man eigentlich denkt. Denn was Jahrhunderte lang sich
vorbereitet hat, das ist da an die Oberfläche getreten. Und das Neue, das sich gestalten will, es zeigt heute noch ein ganz anderes Gesicht als dasjenige, das sich entwickeln will, das sich herausgestalten will. Spätere Geschlechter werden noch die Möglichkeit
haben, den Unterschied zwischen Maja und Wirklichkeit anschaulich zu machen an dem, was sich in den nächsten Jahrzehnten im Osten von Europa gestalten wird. Denn die gegenwärtigen Geschlechter nehmen die Maja eben nicht als Maja hin, sondern als eine
Wirklichkeit. Sie nehmen das, was jetzt geschieht, hin als etwas, was schon dasjenige ist, was es werden will. Das ist nicht so. Da will etwas ganz anderes an die Oberfläche. Und schlecht sind die Westvölker gerüstet zu verstehen, was da an die Oberfläche will.
Warum sind sie so schlecht gerüstet? So sonderbar dies aussieht für den Menschen, nicht
für Sie, aber für den Normalmenschen der Gegenwart – Sie sind ja alle dadurch, dass Sie zur Anthroposophie gehören, nicht Normalmenschen der Gegenwart -, so sonderbar das für den Normalmenschen aussieht, mehr, unendlich viel mehr als irgendeine andere Zeit erfordert
diese gegenwärtige Zeit von den Menschen gerade dasjenige, was diese Menschen am allerwenigsten haben wollen: geisteswissenschaftliches Verständnis. So sonderbar es für den Normalmenschen der Gegenwart eben klingt: Ordnung wird aus dem Chaos der Gegenwart nicht, bevor eine genügend große Anzahl von Menschen sich bequemen wird, die geisteswissenschaftlichen Wahrheiten anzuerkennen. Das wird das weltgeschichtliche Karma sein.
Lassen Sie die Menschen reden, die da glauben, wir haben jetzt einen Krieg, wie frühere Kriege waren, und wir werden nächstens Frieden schließen, wie frühere Frieden geschlossen worden sind; lassen Sie das die Menschen glauben. Das sind die Menschen, die die Maja
lieben, das sind die Menschen, die die Wahrheit nicht von der Täuschung unterscheiden. Lassen Sie diese Menschen selbst einen Scheinfrieden vielleicht irgendwie schließen:
Ordnung wird aus diesem Chaos, das jetzt die Welt durchzieht, nur dann, wenn die Morgenröte einer geisteswissenschaftlichen Auffassung die Menschen ergreift. Und wenn Sie etwa in Ihrem Herzen empfinden sollten: Dann wird lange nicht Ordnung werden, dann wird es noch lange dauern – weil Sie vielleicht des Glaubens sind, die Menschen werden sich lange nicht bequemen, eine geisteswissenschaftliche Morgenröte heraufkommen zu lassen -, dann
werden Sie Recht haben. Dann glauben Sie aber nur auch, dass lange keine Ordnung werden wird aus diesem Chaos heraus, denn sie wird nicht früher werden, als bis eine geisteswissenschaftliche Auffassung die menschlichen Herzen durchdringt. Alles andere wird Schein sein, alles andere wird scheinbare Ruhe sein, unter der immer neue und neue Feuerflammen sich entzünden werden, denn Ordnung wird aus diesem Chaos erst entstehen,
wenn man begreifen wird, woraus dieses Chaos entstanden ist.
Es ist entstanden aus ungeistiger Erfassung der Wirklichkeit – ja, aus ungeistiger Erfassung der Wirklichkeit. Die geistige Welt ignoriert man nicht ungestraft. Man kann glauben, dass man die geistige Welt ungestraft ignorieren kann, man kann glauben, dass man sich in der Welt Begriffen, Vorstellungen hingeben kann, die bloß aus der Sinneswelt entnommen sind, man kann das glauben, und das ist ja der allgemeine Glaube der heutigen
Menschheit. Aber wahr ist es nicht. Nein! Der irrigste Glaube, den jemals die Menschheit hat hegen können, das ist der – wenn ich mich trivial ausdrücken darf -, dass die Geister es sich gefallen lassen, ignoriert zu werden. Fassen Sie es meinetwillen auf als einen
Egoismus, als eine Selbstsucht der Geister, aber in der geistigen Welt gilt eine andere Terminologie als hier in der sinnlich-physischen Welt. Also fassen Sie es meinetwillen auf als einen Egoismus der Geister, aber die Geister rächen sich, wenn sie ignoriert werden hier. Es ist ein Gesetz, es ist eine eherne Notwendigkeit: Die Geister rächen sich. Und unter den mancherlei Charakteristiken, die man geben kann für die Gegenwart, ist auch
diese richtig, dass man sagen kann: Die Rache der Geister dafür, dass man sie so lange ignoriert hat, das ist das gegenwärtige Menschheitschaos.
Erinnern Sie sich, wie oft ich hier und an andern Orten gesagt habe: Es ist ein geheimnisvoller Zusammenhang zwischen dem, was menschliches Bewusstsein ist, und den zerstörerischen Kräften des Weltenalls, gerade den Untergangskräften des Weltenalls. Ja, dieser geheimnisvolle Zusammenhang zwischen den zerstörerischen Kräften des Weltenalls und dem Bewusstsein, der besteht; er besteht so, dass das eine als Ersatz für das andere auf
der einen Seite dienen kann oder auf der andern Seite dienen muss in der folgenden Art.
Nehmen wir einmal an, ein Zeitalter wäre dagewesen, sagen wir in den letzten zwanzig oder dreißig Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts, in dem die Menschheit so nach Geistigem gestrebt hätte, wie sie in den letzten zwei bis drei Jahrzehnten des 19. Jahrhunderts nur nach materiellem Wissen und nach materiellen Taten gestrebt hat. Nehmen wir an, am Ende dieses 19. Jahrhunderts hätten die Menschen nach spirituellem Erleben, nach spirituellem Wissen, nach spirituellen Taten gestrebt. Was wäre das gewesen? Was wäre es gewesen, wenn die Menschen gesucht hätten, die geistige Welt zu erkennen und aus der geistigen Welt heraus der physischen Welt einen Charakter, eine Grundlage zu geben, statt dass in den letzten Jahrzehnten des 19. Jahrhunderts die Menschen nur instinktiv immer mehr und mehr nach demjenigen Wissen gejagt haben, welches zuletzt in der Ausgestaltung der Mordwerkzeuge seine größten Triumphe feierte und welches in der menschlichen Bereicherung mit rein materiellen Gütern aufging? Was wäre geschehen, wenn die Menschheit gestrebt hätte, spirituelles Wissen, spirituelle Impulse für das soziale Wirken zu gewinnen? Es wäre eine Abschlagszahlung gewesen für zerstörerische Kräfte! Die Menschen wären wacher gewesen, statt dass sie die letzten Jahrzehnte des 19. Jahrhunderts verschlafen haben. Die Menschen wären wacher gewesen, und die ersten Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrhunderts hätten nicht die Zerstörung zu bringen brauchen, wenn das Bewusstsein stärker gewesen wäre. Das spirituelle Bewusstsein muss eben stärker sein als das rein sinnlich-materielle Bewusstsein. Wäre das
spirituelle Bewusstsein stärker gewesen in den letzten Jahrzehnten des 19. Jahrhunderts, so hätten nicht die zerstörerischen Kräfte einzugreifen brauchen in den ersten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts.
Am intensivsten, am eindringlichsten – erkenntnistheoretisch -, aber, man möchte sagen auch am grausamsten gewahrt man das, wenn man Bekanntschaft macht mit manchen Toten, die in die geistige Welt eingezogen sind, sei es in den letzten Jahrzehnten des 19. Jahrhunderts, sei es in den ersten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts. Viele Seelen waren darunter, die hier auf diesem Erdenrund innerhalb des Hastens und Treibens und Strebens im
Materiellen keine Gelegenheit gehabt haben, ihr Bewusstsein zu erwecken mit spirituellen Impulsen. Viele sind durch die Pforte des Todes gegangen, ohne auch nur eine Ahnung zu bekommen von Begriffen, von Ideen, die spirituelle Impulse andeuten. Wäre hier auf der Erde, bevor diese Seelen durch die Pforte des Todes gegangen sind, für sie die Möglichkeit gewesen, Spirituelles in ihre Vorstellungen, in ihre Begriffe aufzunehmen, sie hätten das mit durch die Pforte des Todes getragen. Das wäre ihnen ein Gut gewesen, das sie brauchen nach dem Tode. Sie haben es nicht haben können.
Wer die Geistesgeschichte, die sogenannte Geistesgeschichte der letzten Jahrzehnte des 19. Jahrhunderts und der ersten Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrhunderts kennt, der weiß, dass man nicht einmal mehr das Wort Geist anzuwenden gewusst hat auf das Richtige: Man hat es auf
alles Mögliche angewendet, nur nicht auf dasjenige, was wirklich Geist ist. So haben die Seelen keine Möglichkeit gehabt, den Geist hier zu kennen. Sie müssen die Abschlagszahlung nehmen. Sie lechzen jetzt, da sie durch die Pforte des Todes eingetreten sind in die geistige Welt, sie lechzen – ja, wonach lechzen sie, diese Seelen, die hier im Materialismus lebten, wonach lechzen sie? Nach zerstörerischen Kräften in der physischen
Welt lechzen sie! Denn das ist die Abschlagszahlung. Diese Dinge lassen sich nicht mit bequemen Begriffen abtun. Will man auf diesem Gebiet die
Realitäten kennenlernen, dann muss man sich eine Empfindung für dasjenige verschaffen, was in den ägyptischen Mysterien die eherne Notwendigkeit genannt worden ist. So furchtbar es ist, so sehr notwendig war es, dass Zerstörung Platz griff, da sich die durch die Pforte des Todes Gegangenen sehnten nach zerstörerischen Kräften, in denen sie leben können, nachdem sie hier die Abschlagszahlung durch spirituelle Impulse nicht haben erhalten können.
Es wird nicht früher Ordnung aus dem Chaos, bevor die Menschheit sich entschließt, solch ernste Wahrheiten wirklich durch ihre Seele ziehen zu lassen und auch solch ernste Wahrheiten in die Ideen einfließen zu lassen, die heute politisch durch die Welt ziehen.
Und wenn diese Wahrheiten pessimistisch klingen und Sie sich denken: Wie weit ist die Menschheit noch weg von all dem, was jetzt als gefordert bedeutet worden ist -, dann haben Sie recht. Aber lassen Sie aus diesem Ihrem berechtigten Pessimismus die innere Aufforderung folgen, die wache Aufforderung, da, wo Sie können, an jeglicher Stelle des Lebens, an die Sie gestellt sind, den Versuch zu machen, Seelen zu erwecken nach der
Richtung, nach der die Geisteswissenschaft ihre Impulse senden kann. Man kann es freilich heute noch nicht viel, aber man muss wirklich das ehrliche, aufrichtige Bestreben haben, in der Art, wie es eben der eine oder der andere verstehen kann, aufmerksam zu machen auf dieses Konkrete, das darin besteht, dass die neuere Zeit Sehnsuchten in den Toten hervorgerufen hat, denen jetzt entgegengekommen wird mit dem, was wir Lebenden hier auf dem physischen Plan mit Schaudern erfahren. “Episodische Betrachtungen über den Begriff der Liebe in seinem Verhältnis zum Begriff der
Mystik.
„Meine lieben Freunde! Ich möchte heute noch einiges weitere ausführen zu dem Thema, das ja in
den Betrachtungen dieser Tage von mir angeschlagen worden ist. Heute möchte ich ausgehen von der
Frage: Wie alt ist eigentlich die Liebe?
Meine lieben Freunde, ich zweifle nicht daran, dass wohl die weitaus meisten Menschen aus einer
gewissen oberflächlichen Anschauung der Dinge sogleich antworten werden: Die Liebe ist so alt
wie die Menschheit. – Aber wer gewohnt ist, aus der Kulturgeschichte heraus zu sprechen, die er
als mit geistigen Impulsen durchdrungen erkennt, der wird Ihnen eine andere Antwort auf diese
Frage geben, weil er sich bemüht, die Dinge konkret und nicht in allgemeinen verschwommenen
Begriffen ins Auge zu fassen. Die Liebe, meine lieben Freunde, ist höchstens 700 Jahre alt!
Lesen Sie die ganze alte römische, die griechische Literatur und Dichtung, und Sie werden
nirgends dasjenige finden, was man in der jetzigen Zeit mit dem Begriff der Liebe verbindet. Und
wenn Sie Plutarch lesen, so werden Sie die beiden Begriffe Venus und Amor in sehr
charakteristischer Weise deutlich voneinander unterschieden finden. Die Art und Weise, wie die
Liebe in der Dichtung, namentlich in der Lyrik figuriert, wie sie den Mittelpunkt von soundso
vielen lyrischen Ergüssen bildet, ist nicht älter als etwa 600 bis 700 Jahre. Das heißt, der
Begriff von Liebe, mit der Bedeutung, wie sie heute dem Menschen gilt, wie man sie ihm heute
beibringt, figuriert in den Gemütern der Menschen erst seit 6 bis 7 Jahrhunderten. Früher hat
man nicht – auch nicht in annähernd ähnlicher Weise – von diesem Begriff der Liebe gesprochen.
Das darf Sie nicht verwundern, nicht einmal theoretisch, nicht einmal erkenntnistheoretisch.
Denn der Einwand, dass die Menschen ja immer Liebe geübt haben, der gilt nicht. Das ist genau
so, wie wenn man sagen würde, wenn die kopernikanische Weltanschauung richtig ist, dass die Erde
sich um die Sonne bewegt, so hat sie sich so doch auch schon während der lateinischen,
griechischen, ägyptischen Zeit, ja solange die Erde steht, bewegt. -Ja, gewiss, aber gesprochen
haben die Leute nicht von der kopernikanischen Weltanschauung. Der Einwand gilt also nicht, dass
dasjenige, was im Liebe-Begriff ausgedrückt ist, schon früher, bevor der Liebe-Begriff selber da
war, bestanden hat. Es bildeten eben die Erscheinungen, die Tatsachen der Liebe einen Komplex
von Lebenstatsachen, aber man sprach darüber nicht. Aber in den vergangenen 600 bis 700 Jahren
hat man es darin weit gebracht. Man hat es nicht nur dazu gebracht, dass die Liebe für viele
heute als der Mittelpunkt alles Lebens gilt – ich meine jetzt in der Weltanschauung -, sondern
man hat es sogar dazu gebracht, dass es heute eine wissenschaftliche Theorie, die
psychoanalytische gibt, die, wie ich Ihnen gezeigt habe, ganz und gar in den ordinärsten
Liebesbegriffen «plätschert». Das ist der Gang der Entwickelung, gegen den wir uns, meine lieben
Freunde, aufzulehnen haben, den wir in etwas anderes zu wandeln haben dadurch, dass wir die
geisteswissenschaftliche Weltanschauung pflegen.
Ich würde mich eigentlich wundern, wenn viele oder alle unter Ihnen wirklich verwundert wären
über den Ausspruch, dass der Begriff der Liebe erst 600 bis 700 Jahre alt ist, denn manche von
Ihnen könnten wissen, dass ich auch in früheren Vorträgen dieselben Dinge ausgesprochen und ganz
historisch charakterisiert habe.
Nun, jenes Naherücken des Begriffes der Liebe an alle möglichen Weltanschauungsbegriffe, wie das
so abstoßend in der psychoanalytischen Weltanschauung hervortritt, das hat sich eben im Laufe
der letzten Jahrhunderte langsam und allmählich herangebildet, und wir würden lange zu tun
haben, um diesen Dingen so recht auf den Grund zu kommen. Aber durch einige Betrachtungen, die
ich einmal wie episodisch, wie aphoristisch anstellen werde, möchte ich Ihnen doch auf den Weg
verhelfen.
Nehmen Sie zum Beispiel einen Geist der heutigen Zeit, der so ganz in den Kulturbegriffen der
heutigen Zeit darinnensteckt, davon ganz durchtränkt ist, der mit anderen Worten über die
vermeintliche Erkenntnis nicht hinwegkommt, dass das äußere, das sinnlich-physisch Reale doch
das Einzige ist, wovon man vernünftigerweise sprechen kann. Ich habe Ihnen einen sehr ehrlichen
Typus dieser Leute schon vorgeführt in Fritz Mauthner, dem Kritiker der Sprache und Verfasser
eines philosophischen Wörterbuches.
Sehen Sie, ein solcher Mensch ist in einer eigentümlichen Lage. Fritz Mauthner ist Kritiker der
Sprache; er weiß daher, dass es wenigstens das Wort «Mystik» in der Menschheitsentwickelung
immer gegeben hat. Und da er Kritiker der Sprache ist, will er eine Antwort haben auf die Frage:
Was steckt denn eigentlich hinter diesem Wort «Mystik», hinter den mystischen Bestrebungen?
Nun bedenken Sie einmal, meine lieben Freunde, wie wir uns durch eine reiche Literatur hindurch
bemühen müssen, um dahinter zu kommen, wie jene Beziehung der menschlichen Seele zu den
überirdischen Welten ist, die verdient, mit dem Wort «Mystik» charakterisiert zu werden.
Bedenken Sie, wie ernst und würdig wir es mit solchen Auseinandersetzungen nehmen müssen, wie
die sind in dem Buche «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der höheren Welten?», um Einsicht zu
bekommen, wie die Seele sich stimmen muss, um den höheren Welten so gegenüberzustehen, dass man
sagen kann: Die betreffende Seele ist die eines Mystikers, eines Menschen, der seine Vereinigung
gefunden hat mit dem, was geistig die höheren Welten durchpulst und durchwellt. Also das muss
man sich erst verschaffen, in das muss man sich erst hineinleben. Und eigentlich kann heute nur
jemand wissen, was Mystik im Sinne der Gegenwart ist, der wirklich solche Erwägungen angestellt
hat, wie sie in dem Buche «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der höheren Welten?» ausgesprochen sind,
also der dieses Buch wenigstens mit Aufmerksamkeit einige Male durchstudiert hat.
Wenn nun ein Mann wie Fritz Mauthner solch ein Buch wie «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der
höheren Welten?» in die Hand bekommt, so ist es für ihn selbstverständlich der barste Unsinn,
denn er kann ja darin nichts lesen als Worte. Und er hat recht – er ist ja ehrlich -, wenn er
Swedenborg gelesen hat und sagt: Der Swedenborg redet von Marsbewohnern, die ihre inneren
Impulse verbergen können – ich kann davon gar nichts verstehen. – Ebenso könnte er auch sagen:
Wahrhaftig, wenn ich ein solches Buch lese wie «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der höheren
Welten?», so ist da für mich darin aber auch gar nichts zu finden; es könnte sein, dass Engel es
verstehen könnten, aber ich kann es nicht verstehen. – So kann man urteilen, und ich bin
überzeugt, dass Fritz Mauthner dieses Urteil als ehrlicher Mann fällen könnte. Man muss
einsehen, dass er ehrlicherweise, wenn er bei der Wahrheit bleibt, ein solches Urteil
schließlich fällen muss, denn für ihn entfällt der Begriff der Mystik ganz und gar; für ihn ist
nichts dahinter. Was in der «Theosophie» oder in «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der höheren
Welten?» ausgeführt ist, das sind für ihn alles nur Worte, Worte, Worte. Und wenn er auf seine
Art ein faustisches Streben hat, so sagt er: Ich suche alle Wirkenskraft und Samen in der
physischen äußeren Welt und will nicht in Worten kramen. – In seiner Art ist das ganz richtig.
Aber nun ist er nicht nur ehrlich, sondern auch gründlich, und so sagt er sich: Sollten die
Menschen wirklich niemals in ihrer Seele so etwas gehabt haben wie Mystik? Sie haben doch immer
von Mystik gesprochen. Also was ist denn in der Seele des Menschen, was ihn dazu verführt hat,
von Mystik zu sprechen?
Sehen Sie, ich habe einmal als ganz junger Mann einen Theologen gekannt – er ist jetzt schon tot
-, der war ein hervorragender Theologe und auch ein philosophisch ganz durchgebildeter Mensch,
der hat mit vollem Recht gesagt: Eigentlich ist hinter jedem Irrtum auch etwas Reales oder
Wahres, was man suchen muss, und kein Spleen ist so groß, dass man nicht das Reale, das hinter
ihm eben steht, suchen müsste. – Nun, in diesem Sinne sagt sich auch Fritz Mauthner: Es muss in
der Mystik doch etwas stecken. Das heißt, Fritz Mauthner muss sich sagen, wenn so vertrackte
Kerle heute noch da sind, die Bücher schreiben wie «Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der höheren
Welten?» und von einer mystischen Beziehung des Menschen zu den geistigen Welten reden, so ist
das natürlich der bare Unsinn; aber es muss doch in der Menschennatur etwas leben, was solche
Gefühle hervorbringt, die diese vertrackten närrischen Mystiker eben ihre Mystik nennen. Es muss
so etwas geben. –
Wenn man versucht, darauf zu kommen, wo Fritz Mauthner eigentlich das findet, was der Mystik
zugrunde liegt, so ergibt sich wahrhaftig nicht viel mehr als höchstens, dass man über seinen
Artikel «Mystik», wenn man ihn durchgelesen hat, sich zuletzt sagt: «Der Zopf, der hängt ihm
hinten». Wenn man diesen Artikel nimmt, so findet man darin wirklich nichts anderes, als dass
sich alles in Worte und Worterklärungen herumdreht. Weil ich aber dahinterkommen wollte, wo denn
Fritz Mauthner in seiner Art hinter das Reale dieser Mystik zu kommen sucht, so habe ich
versucht, in seinem Wörterbuch nachzuschlagen, wo man bei ihm das finden könnte.., [Lücke im

Und da habe ich denn nicht nur den Artikel «Mystik» aufgeschlagen, sondern auch den Artikel
«Liebe». Und ich finde eigentlich, dass dieser Artikel «Liebe» noch zu den am allerbesten
geschriebenen gehört, denn er ist eigentlich ganz nett. Er stellt zuerst auch die
Worterklärungen, die Definitionen der Liebe bei Spinoza, die kurze grobe Definition der Liebe
bei Schopenhauer zusammen und erklärt dann auch, dass man unterscheiden müsse zwischen der
wirklichen, seelisch gemeinten Liebe und der bloßen Erotik, dem Physischen, des in der
Sexualität Beschlossenen. […]
Alle diese Dinge hängen doch mit dem materialistischen Grundzug unserer Zeit zusammen. Dieser
materialistische Grundzug unserer Zeit hat zugleich notwendig zur Folge, dass sich
Unwahrhaftigkeit einstellt, namentlich da, wo man nicht so ehrlich zu Werke geht, dass man sagt:
Wir kennen eigentlich von Mystik nichts als die reale Seite, die identisch ist mit dem
Erotischen. Die Unwahrhaftigkeit kommt dann zutage, wenn man das Erotische meint, aber über das
Erotische den Schleier mystischer Begriffe hinüberlegt. Wahrhaftiger ist wirklich noch ein
Materialist, der einfach sagt: Ich sehe in der ganzen Mystik eigentlich nur Erotik -, als
derjenige, der von der Erotik ausgeht, aber um es zu kaschieren, in mystischen Formeln bis in
die höchsten Welten hinaufklettert. Man kann manchmal geradezu die Leitern sehen, auf denen
solche Leute hinaufkraxeln bis in die höchsten Plane, um das mystisch zu kaschieren, was
eigentlich nichts weiter ist als Erotik. Wir haben also auf der einen Seite die theoretische
Angliederung des Mystik-Begriffes an den Begriff der Erotik, auf der anderen Seite den Zug
unserer Zeit, herunterzusinken in Erotisches und das Hineintragen von allerlei möglichst
unklarer Mystik, unklarer, unverstandener Mystik in die schwüle Erotik.
Meine lieben Freunde, dass klare Vorstellungen über diese Dinge in der Anthroposophischen
Gesellschaft sich verbreiten mögen, das war dasjenige, warum ich vor einiger Zeit als
Aufforderung an Sie gerichtet habe, dass Arbeit geschehe, um jene mystische Verschrobenheit
auszumerzen, welche aus der eben charakterisierten Vermischung entsteht; dass in einer gewissen
Weise gerade diejenigen, die gut erkennen den Charakter edler Geistigkeit, wiederum sich
aufschwingen zu dem Standpunkte, von Geistigem zu sprechen da, wo Geistiges wirklich vorhanden
ist, und nicht die subjektiven Emotionen in geistige Formen einzukleiden. Und weil mir bewusst
ist, dass nicht überall klare Begriffe in dieser Beziehung herrschen, meine lieben Freunde,
deshalb habe ich vor einiger Zeit den Appell an die Gesellschaft gerichtet, einige Klarheit über
diese Dinge zu schaffen. Aber die Zeit wird lehren, ob wir dazu imstande sind.
Ich habe gestern angedeutet, dass in älteren Zeiten, ja bis in unsere Zeit herauf, man ein
anderes, viel radikaleres Mittel gewählt hat, um die Bedingungen zu erfüllen, die einer
geisteswissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft – welcher Form auch immer – zugrunde liegen müssen: Man
hat einfach einen Teil der Menschheit, das eine Geschlecht ausgeschlossen, damit das andere
dadurch bewahrt geblieben ist vor allerlei Vermischungen höherer geistiger Begriffe mit
Begriffen des natürlichen Menschenlebens auf dem physischen Plan. Geistiges zu denken gehört der
geistigen Welt an, und im gesunden Sinne müssen wir uns dazu aufschwingen, zu wissen, dass es
viel, viel schlimmer ist, von gewissen Dingen des naturgemäßen Zusammenlebens der Menschen in
mystischen Formeln zu sprechen, die nicht hingehören in dieses Gebiet, als dieses Gebiet in
voller Wahrheit mit dem rechten Namen zu benennen und sich einzugestehen, wie dieses Gebiet eben
ein Gebiet des physischen Planes sein muss. Für den, der in wahrem Sinne ein Mystiker ist, ist
es eine furchtbare Sache, wenn irgendjemand einfach denjenigen Trieb, der ihn dazu bringt, das
zu erfüllen, was – verzeihen Sie – Schopenhauer in seiner eigentümlich grobklotzigen
Charakterisierung der Liebe mit folgenden Worten bezeichnet: «Die sämtlichen Liebeshändel der
gegenwärtigen Generation zusammengenommen sind demnach des ganzen Menschengeschlechts» – das ist
nicht meine, sondern Schopenhauers Ansicht! – «ernstliche meditatio compositionis generationis
futurae, e qua iterum pendent innumerae generationes.»
Also in seiner grobklotzigen Metaphysik sagt Schopenhauer: Die sämtlichen Liebeshändel der
gegenwärtigen Generation zusammengenommen sind demnach des ganzen Menschengeschlechtes ernste
Meditation über die Zusammensetzung der künftigen Generation, von der wiederum zahllose solche
Generationen abhängen.
Wenn jemand einen so gearteten Trieb nicht in seiner Wahrheit gelten lässt, sondern ihn dadurch
verbrämt, dass er etwa sagt: Ich bin verpflichtet, dies oder jenes zu tun, um einer sehr
bedeutenden Individualität die Möglichkeit zu verschaffen, in die Welt hereinzukommen -, dann
ist das etwas Gräuliches für denjenigen, der in Ernst und Würde Mystik pflegen will.
Und auch das ist zu berücksichtigen, meine lieben Freunde, dass Mystik nicht ein Faulbett sein
soll für die Menschheit. Sie wird aber zu einem gemacht, wenn gesunde Begriffe durch kranke
Begriffe auf mystische Art ersetzt werden. Hier auf dem physischen Plan hat der Mensch zu gelten
durch dasjenige, wozu er den guten Willen hat zu arbeiten, wirklich zu arbeiten. Wenn er nicht
arbeiten will und seinen Wert sich erschleichen will dadurch, dass er nicht durch das, was seine
Arbeit wert ist, taxiert sein will, sondern dadurch, dass er sagt: Nun, ich habe Anspruch
darauf, als etwas Besonderes genommen zu werden, weil ich diese oder jene Wiederverkörperung bin
-, dann heißt das, sich aufs mystische Faulbett zu legen; man will anerkannt sein für etwas,
ohne dass man etwas tut. Das ist der ganz gewöhnliche, triviale Begriff der Sache. Und wenn die
Bemühungen in unserer Zeit dahin gehen müssen, meine lieben Freunde, dahin gehen müssen heute in
unserer Zeit, rückhaltlos vor beiden Geschlechtern Geisteswissenschaft zu pflegen, so muss, so
wie früher ein Zwangsdamm vorhanden war, heute ein Damm darinnen bestehen, dass die beiden
Geschlechter in dem Ernst und in der Würde ihrer Lebensauffassung, in der Entfernung aller
Phantastik, die doch immer mit den untergeordneten Trieben der Menschheit zusammenhängt, in
Ernst und Würde die Erkenntnis der höheren Welten suchen. Dann wird es nicht möglich sein, dass
Irrtümer über Irrtümer sich über dasjenige verbreiten, was in der oder jener phantastischen
Seele aus der Pflege des mystischen Faulbetts heraus entsteht. Die Mystik, meine lieben Freunde,
verlangt nicht, dass man fauler werde als die anderen Menschen draußen im Leben, die nichts für
Mystik übrig haben, sondern dass man noch fleißiger als diese werde. Und die mystische Moral
kann nicht ein Hinuntersinken sein unter die Anschauungen der anderen Menschen, sondern ein
Hinaufsteigen über diese. Und wenn wir uns nicht bemühen, solche Dinge wie das, was ich als
«Sprengelismus» bezeichnen möchte – wenn wir uns nicht bemühen, alles Ähnliche wie den
«Sprengelismus» auszumerzen aus unserer Gesellschaft, dann, meine lieben Freunde, kommen wir
nicht weiter!“

While we take curses as something scary and would all want to stay away from it. And yes, they are in fact scary many times and did give the individuals who got one a lot of trouble. However, there are many curses that did do good, eventually. Hence, in this case, this curse has totally changed the course of the history of Hindu scriptures. Unarguably, one of the most important curses in the Hindu Puranas was that given by Bhrigu to Lord Vishnu. Here is the story of Bhrigu cursing Lord Vishnu and how it changed the course of ancient Hindu history.
Matsya Purana states, the story of the war between Devatas (Demi-Gods) and Asuras (Demons). The story mainly consists of Maharishi Bhrigu and Kavyamata who were the parents of Shukracharya. Shukracharya was the great sage who was the Guru of Asuras and gained the mantra of invincibility, ‘Mrita Sanjivani’. Lord Indra was the leader of Devas and elected Brihaspati as the head priest of Devas. Although, Sukracharya being more capable, it was Indra’s favoritism towards Bhriaspati due to which he chooses Brihaspati as the chief priest. Therefore, Sukracharya started favoring the Asuras more as it was a way to take revenge for his partiality.
During that time it was very difficult for the demons to defeat the demigods in battles. Having lost several times, the Guru of the demons, Shukracharya decided to approach Lord Shiva for help to defeat Devatas. He also requested Lord Shiva for Mrita Sanjivani, using which Shiva could bring back the dead. Therefore, Sukracharya started to meditate and pray to Lord Shiva, to grant him Mrita-Sanjeevani Stotram, a mantra that would make the Asuras invincible.
Furthermore, Shukracharya’s triumph, that is if he was granted the mantra of invincibility, would have made it difficult for Devas to defeat the Asuras. Meanwhile, Sukracharya asked the Asuras to take refuge at the ashram of his father, who was Maharishi Bhrigu. The Devtas and Indra used this opportunity to attack unarmed Asuras. In the absence of the sage, the Asuras fled to Bhrigu’s wife who was Kavyamata, for shelter.
Kavyamata used her Yogic powers to immobilize Indra and protect the asuras. Unnerved by the immobilization of Indra, the Devas decided to take refuge at the feet of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, Vishnu decided to enter the body of Indra and to save the Devas. Thus, Kavyamata was enraged by this and warned to burn them down to ashes if they did not retreat. However, Indra instigated to annihilate Bhrigu’s wife and as a consequence, Vishnu used the Sudarshana Chakra. Hence, to save Indra and the Devtas, Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshana Chakra which served her head.
Sage Bhrigu was devastated hearing what had happened. Bhrigu seeing his wife’s condition, got furious because Lord Vishnu broke his Dharma by killing a woman. Therefore, Maharishi Bhrigu cursed Lord Vishnu to be born on Earth many times and suffer the pain of birth and death all those several times. Due to this legendary curse, Vishnu had to take countless avatars on Earth and endure all the worldly pain as a price. Although Bhrigu later revived his wife by sprinkling holy water from his Kamandalu, he was so deeply infuriated and full of vengeance, he decided not to spare Lord Vishnu.

The curse of Bhrigu that Lord Vishnu endured has a huge significance today. Bhrigu’s curse demanded Lord Vishnu be born on Earth in several avatars. The avatars included some of the greatest Gods to ever walk on Earth as humans such as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
Without Rama, there would have been no Ramayana and without Lord Krishna, there would have been no Mahabharata and hence, no Bhagavad Gita. Along with them, even the other Avatars of Vishnu such as Narshima, Parasurama, and arguably Balaram or Buddha and all the other avatars who have had undeniable contributions to shape the entire history of our civilization and scriptures. The curse also made Lord Vishnu feel human emotions such as love, hatred, betrayal, and pain of separation.

He was forced by his duties towards his kingdom to take the throne and marry and have a kid.
Even his wife was a very kind and beautiful soul who let her husband leave so he can achieve his goals because she knew what he desired from the very beginning of their relationship.
He never thought of his relationships to be a burden nor did he just abandon them. They were well taken care for.

You call motherhood a burden then it’s not for you. 1st of all I don’t even understand why anyone would willingly have a child and then regret it. Kids are not toys, they are real humans beings that you are responsible for as a parent.

“…Mein Yoga will nicht mit der Welt oder dem Leben nichts zu tun haben, die Sinne abtöten oder ihrer Tätigkeit gänzlich Einhalt gebieten.
Ziel meines Yoga ist, das Leben umzuwandeln, durch das Herabbringen des Lichtes, der Kraft und der Wonne der Göttlichen Wahrheit und ihrer dynamischen Gewissheit.
Dieser Yoga ist nicht der eines weitabgewandten Asketentums, sondern der eines göttlichen Lebens. Dieser Yoga anerkennt den Wert des kosmischen Daseins und betrachtet dieses als Realität. Sein Ziel ist, in ein höheres Wahrheits-Bewusstsein einzutreten, in welchem die Tat und die Schöpfung nicht Ausdruck der Unwissenheit und Unvollkommenheit sind, sondern Ausdruck der Wahrheit, des Lichtes, des Göttlichen Ananda. Doch hierzu ist die Hingabe des menschlichen Geistes, Lebens und Körpers an jenes Höhere Bewusstsein unerlässlich, da es für das sterbliche menschliche Wesen zu schwierig ist, durch eigene Bemühung über den Geist hinaus in ein supramentales Bewusstsein zu gelangen, in welchem die auslösende Kraft nicht mehr vom Geist stammt, sondern von ganz anderer Art ist. Nur jene, die dem Ruf zu solcher Wandlung Folge leisten können, sollten diesen Yoga beginnen. Mein Yoga ist, verglichen mit alten Yogasystemen, insofern neu:
1. Weil er nicht auf ein Verlassen der Welt und des Lebens um des Himmels und Nirvana (die Auslöschung) willen zielt, sondern auf eine Wandlung dieses Lebens und Daseins, und dies nicht als etwas Untergeordnetes oder Zufälliges, sondern als deutliches und im Mittelpunkt stehendes Ziel. Wenn es ein Herabkommen in anderen Yoga-Systemen gibt, so ist dies lediglich ein Zufall auf dem Weg oder etwas, was sich aus dem Aufsteigen (des Bewusstseins) ergibt, das Aufsteigen jedoch ist dort das Ziel. Hier ist das Aufsteigen der erste Schritt, doch es ist ein Hilfsmittel für das Herabkommen. Stempel und Siegel dieser Sadhana ist das Herabkommen des neuen Bewusstseins, das durch das Aufsteigen (des Bewusstseins) erreicht wird. Selbst Tantrismus und Vishnuismus enden bei der Befreiung vom Leben; hier ist das Ziel die göttliche Erfüllung des Lebens.
2. Weil das Ziel, nach dem gesucht wird, nicht eine individuelle Verwirklichung des Göttlichen zum Heile des Einzelnen ist, sondern etwas, das für das Erdbewusstsein gewonnen werden muss, eine kosmische, nicht allein eine überkosmische Verwirklichung.
Das zu Gewinnende ist also das Einbringen einer Bewusstseinsmacht (der des Supramentalen), die bisher noch nicht in der Erdnatur geformt oder direkt tätig wurde, nicht einmal im spirituellen Leben, und die noch geformt und unmittelbar wirksam gemacht werden muss.
3. Weil eine Methode zur Erreichung dieses Ziels erarbeitet wurde, die so total und umfassend ist wie dieses Ziel selbst, nämlich die totale und integrale Wandlung des Bewusstseins und der menschlichen Natur, die zwar alte Methoden aufgreift, doch nur als Teilaspekt und augenblickliche Hilfe. Ich habe in den alten Yogasystemen diese Methode in ihrer Ganzheit oder etwas Ähnliches weder verkündet noch verwirklicht gefunden.
Wäre es so, hätte ich meine Zeit nicht damit vergeudet, in 1000-jähriger Suche und innerer Schöpfung Pfade auszuhauen, wenn ich stattdessen sicher zu meinem Ziel hätte heimeilen können, leichten Galopps, auf Wegen, die bereits gebahnt wurden, ausgetreten, kartographiert, asphaltiert, gesichert und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
