ASUS´ actions relating to the Exploding Ryzen CPU debacle are disgraceful and abrasive to the trust that the brand has earned. ASUS has demonstrated clearly it wishes to not only avoid supporting users, but actively engineers ways to abandon them. ASUS´ updates haven´t even fixed the problems, yet they posture as if they have while simultaneously suggesting that users ´just run defaults´ on their $700 motherboards, as if that makes any sense whatsoever. So, to accommodate ASUS´ request, we ran defaults and re-benchmarked the Ryzen 7000 series. It sucks. Big surprise. They also don´t support their own BIOSes for the ASUS ROG boards.“

As a former ASUS employee, none of this surprises me. I used ASUS products for 20+ years, and will never touch another one, due to the way they treated customers, and how they handled laying me off. They tried to push me into signing a form that said I would never say anything negative about ASUS, its current/future products, or current/future employees. If I do ever say anything negative, they assured me they would take legal action. Since I didn’t sign it, I received no severance pay, which goes against the whole „we’re a family“ thing that they push on you from the moment you join.
Edit: For those asking, the document was called a „Non-disparagement agreement“ and while it wasn’t illegal at the time, such practices have been outlawed in the US since. I would guess that they don’t use this practice any longer, but they did when I was laid off last year.

This absolutely blows my mind as I have been building computers for over a decade and out of all the companies Asus has always been the most reliable company for me. If there was any company I would push off is MSI I have hand fulls of absolutely horrible experiences with MSI… and many products coming faulty. Now I don’t know what brand I can go to when building computers for people and myself.

Thanks for this video Jay. When I built PC’s back in the 90’s Asus was a big name back then. My boss bought Gigabyte MB’s for most of our computer builds, mainly to keep the price down. I am considering buying some parts for a gaming PC for myself and was looking at Asus once again, but your video has changed my mind.

This is really sad because I’ve always been a huge Asus fanboy. And now that I’m a grown adult and can finally afford to put together a „dream build“, it’s depressing that after all these year, I can’t put them into it.

I bought a Strix Z790-E in February. It was up and running with frequent USB issues until it bricked with a „USB over current detected“ issue about 3 weeks later. After some basic customer support, it was sent off for RMA. They find a single bent pin on the CPU socket and inform me this isn’t under warranty (I didn’t really think to check before sending it.“

6 or 7 years ago, when I built my current PC, Asus used to be the best of the bunch.
My last three builds had Asus motherboards. I’m avoiding them like the plague now, this isn’t the only issue with them according to other videos I’ve seen.
I’m probably going Gigabyte or ASRock now I think for my next build.“

„So why that processors are not supported? That is a mystery … and thanks to that idea of modifing the Windows 10 install media (replace boot.wim and install.wim files of Windows 10 install media with Windows 11 Install media) … what a surprise … over the real hardware on such OLD, very OLD unsupported CPUs, Windows 11 not only installs well (ok, Windows 11 is really installed by Windows 10 installer), … again surprise … Windows boots OK and runs fine … on real old, very old unsupported CPUs without TMP and without SecureBoot (and also in BIOS boot mode, no need to have UEFI system).“
So the question is again… why or who is lying so much … Windows 11 can run perfectly on real OLD, very OLD CPU’s, no need for TPM, SecureBoot, UEFI, etc.
And guess what … some of such OLD real hardware computers has only 2 GiB of RAM (since the installer was Windows 10 installer, there is not such 4GiB RAM minimun limit) and they can run well the Windows 11 HOME and the Windows 11 PRO over the real hardware… and guess … a clean install only uses 1.8 GiB of RAM after booted … so why on the hell that 4GiB limit?
Note all questions are to denote, that such (ALL) limitations imposed are there for no REAL reason, just to make people to buy new hardware.
The oldest computer, with 2GiB RAM (that is the max that the motherboard supports) boots in less than 3 minutes with an old rotational PATA (IDE, not SATA) 2.5 HDD of 120GiB and Windows 11 is smooth, not much more smooth than Clean Windows 10, but looks like it is a little bit faster.
I hate this ‘limitations’ imposed to just make people buy new hardware … do any one else hate them? I think all users … that is why i share my ‘tests’ …“

It does not work, tried to clone a corrupted Zheino 120 GB Harddisk from China…. stopped for 12 + hours at 25%. Very underdeveloped ideas….you can never rely on this…we need offline clone tools that even can clone corrupted harddrives to save the data. When I put the corrupted 120 GB disk into my computer windows shows up but fails to log in, when I try to access the data on another computer, everything freezes. Strange isn´t it.

If you had two of those M.2 nvme to Sata adapters, You would be able to clone one nvme SSD to another nvme SSD, with nvme SSDs becoming more prominent, This would be useful for upgrading to a higher capacity nvme SSD down the line.

Macrium reflect is a decent software to clone with its free no hidden fees used it to clone from my 512gb nvme oem ssd to my 1tb gen 4 nvme SN850.

„Transkript: Beyond our world of death and rebirth, there exist limitless purified realms with living Buddhas and Bodhisattvas presently teaching.
We can think of these different pure land as a Mahayana multiverse.
These purified realms inhabited by cosmic Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are not heavens, and these beings are not gods. Heavens are still in samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth. And these enlightened beings live and teach in worlds beyond samsara.
The Buddhist texts present a diverse pantheon of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, each with their own pureland. Remember, it’s like a multiverse. And this multiverse is sometimes also referred to by the phrase pure lands of the 10 Directions, fundamentally beyond our world, as a concrete place outside of samsara where you can be reborn to pursue the Bodhisattva pat and achieve Nirvana more easily. The Pure Land is the Pureland Sukhavati, the land of bliss presented in the Sukhavati view Ha Sutra. This sutra tells the story of ho countless eons ago, a king renounced their throne to pursue the Bodhisattva path with a Buddha named Lokesh Varadja. This bodhisattva was named Dharmakara, which means storehouse of the Dharma, and he wished to create the perfect Pureland, so all beings could achieve awakening. Dharmakara makes a series of vows. One of these vows states that if beings think upon or simply call upon the name of this Buddha even 10 times, the simple practice of reciting Namo Amidabutsu, they’ll be able to attain rebirth in the Pureland in their Next life and achieve awakening upon achieving Buddhahood. This being came to be known by 2 names Amitabha limitless light and Amitayaus, limitless life. Based on these vows, many Mahayana Buddhists, laypeople and monastics alike, have made contemplation of Amitabha and the Pureland, and even just the simple recitation of the name of this Buddha a central part of their Buddhist practice. Things are not always as they seem. The world of our experience is conditioned by our past karma in progress on the path and thus manifests as impure.
But Buddhas and Bodhisattva help beings to see the bigger picture.“
