I „firewalled“ narcissist member of my family for over 20 years. Let them go and stay away from people like this. They are not worth it.“

There is a pandemic of Narcissism these days. I live with two. A 9 year old and a 38 year old. It´s hard to be patient but you are so right.

Most of my healing came from ….changing my direction when dealing with toxic ppl. Is not to DEAL WITH THEM…MY PEACE IS PRICELESS.“

This works if you are not a real Pharao….but as a real King you must show them who has the real say.

Despite being able to recognize my sister’s narcissism, I have indeed perpetuated our toxic relationship by sharing myself, and my vulnerabilities with her, time and time again which has lead to nothing more than disappointment, self-doubt, anger and sadness. What I didn’t realize was that narcissists gather flying monkeys who covertly support them while further undermining our emotional well-being. Beware the flying monkey! Dr. Ramani has helped to open my eyes to narcissistic personality disorder so that I can begin to reframe these relationships on a healthier, self-protective level. Thank you!“

I live with a narcissistic abuser and don´t have the resources to leave. One of my coping methods is to vent through letters to the narcissist that I eventually shred. I get it all out without the conflict. I also make rude hand gestures where she can´t see. Yes, it´s childish, but it makes me feel better. So does watching these videos, so thank you.“

After 30 years of deep suffering from gaslighting by.. sister, shadowed by 4 flying monkey siblings…finding Dr. Ramani today was a godsend! It’s been torture… The good part is… The better part is, I plan to fully thrive! My kabuki dance trying to live a happy life thrust into the fires of gaslighting has been so damaging to my life, albeit partially successful, but once I realized all my siblings think I am the problem, the sense of abandonment was profound. Accepting the loss of family is …difficult. …“

It’s so unfortunate how some of us who are so beautiful, smart, intelligent and compassionate like Dr. Ramani had to waste years in these toxic relationships with Narcissists who not only had nothing to offer but siphoned all the good energy from us. It took me years. Thanks to Dr. Ramani’s videos…I am so grateful🙏“

Yes at 74 years of age I too started to protect myself emotionally, it’s very important because at this age you don’t have any place to hide.❤“

Not only at 74,but even at 46. You just need to be grey stone.“

74 too. Had to put a big gulf between myself and daughter. I won’t be her whipping boy anymore.
She’d call unloading on me every morning baiting me to end up a screaming mess.
After my healthy blood pressure went to 199/100 and put on meds, I had to face that all this anger, rage and negativity was taking a terrible toll on me.
All she ever did was keep me on the phone until I blew. Then she was sated.
I no longer play into it. I keep it light and if she tries to turn it around, I end the conversation.
Since October, I have my self-respect and confidence back. And she is treating me respectfully. It’s still a work in progress, but I feel free from her hurt for the first time in years.“

Like the Gray Rock Metaphor. My mother was a total narcissist and wow, it was tough to hang on to self-worth as she was always putting me down. But I survived!“

Things got literally 1000 times worse for my life when I had a name to attach to my mothers behavior and started telling her and family members, I have been shut out of family. Out of the inheritance and much worse,…you will find no one cares even therapists are rarely able to relate or help you…“

The best video on how to deal with a Narcissist! I wish I knew about soul distancing, and not calling them out before!!!😊“
„@BlueBerry-tc6tz

Soul distance reminds me a lot of autistic masking. With others outside of my inner circle I act like a completely different person and ‘act neurotypical’ to protect myself socially. This was all developed subconsciously in my childhood.“

I have been choked by my nephew twice and I was blamed. I survived attempted murder by my brother in law in front of my mother and I was blamed. Witnesses lied. I realized a good chunk of my family was behaving this way. Gaslighting me out of dignity, ridiculing me , disabling me, doubting and much more. I am trying to get away but I feel guilty for leaving my mother.“

Silent treatment actually not just specifically belongs to the narcissists -this behaviour is also referring to the childhood traumas and learned behaviours from the parents!..
Children learn to behave like this from the very young ages and bad experiences..
@infinityexpression5519
If you hit on an individual of this low level, you know how her parents must be the absolute losers…“
„and that you’ve given yourself the right to keep it held back only sharing it with those who are deserving of being in the presence of your Soul, listen, the Soul is a very philosophical concept and even as sort of a traditionally-scientifically trained psychologist we sort of, we didn’t do a lot of soul talk in grade school or even as …we went through our training but I must say that the psyche doesn’t quite capture it, it’s that part of us that doesn’t conform to something, …it’s the identity meets our Divinity, meets our spirituality, meets our authenticity, but that part of us includes everything from
our childhood vulnerabilities to our creative interests, to the things we want to be and the things we hope to be and a
lot of people are letting those thoughts go through them right now and say, this is a wake-up call, how do I pursue those
things, don’t have that conversation with the narcissist. Soul distancing means that I got all this beautiful stuff in
me and for the first time I’m going to give myself permission to only share it with the people who get it.“
„How do you handle flying monkeys…the flying monkeys in your life, they’re not as toxic as the original narcissist, so let’s address ways for managing the flying monkeys that are inevitably a part of your life if you have a narcissist in your life let’s start by breaking down what flying monkeys are they are typically enablers, but they can also be people who are
ignorant about narcissistic patterns and do not see it and they’re like clay and the narcissistic person’s hands who can manipulate them with ease…Flying monkeys are typically people who were one time or may still be connected to both you and the narcissist, these could be family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors. The narcissistic person will mobilize the flying monkeys typically at times when things aren’t going well between you and the narcissist maybe it’s a close
relationship that’s unraveling, a contentious family relationship, a difficult workplace situation or a
friendship that’s falling apart because the narcissistic person is always looking for a way to create Advantage
for themselves and they want to maintain a narrative that deflects any blame and responsibility from them and place it on someone else and they have to end up looking wonderful in everybody else’s eyes, right, mobilizing the flying monkeys
is a way for them to achieve all three of those things and put the blame on you now that means that there are people around you around all of us that can be mobilized into that role of flying monkey.“
